We reached the goal
Date Posted: 09/06/2025
We have determined this to be one of the most important needs in our community through direct observation and interaction with its members. Often, when we visit homes or community centers, we notice a lack of basic spiritual resources. Many families have shared with us that one of the things they most need is a Bible for their home. This need is not just for a book, but for the comfort and hope it represents.
About the Cause
Posted by RW0235 Inkurunziza Kabare CDC in Rwanda on 09/05/2025
Once upon a time, there was an old man named Don José. He lived alone in a humble shack on the outskirts of town. His days were difficult; he often had nothing to eat, and his greatest desire was to read the Bible to find comfort and hope, but he didn't have any. This situation is that of many people in our community. Our cause seeks to address this spiritual and emotional need. Many people lack access to God's word due to poverty. Our goal is to provide Bibles to these people, giving them a source of comfort and guidance for their lives. How will we do this? We will use the funds to purchase affordable Spanish Bibles and distribute them in local churches and community centers. We will organize distribution events to ensure the Bibles reach the right hands. We hope that, with this help, people in our community will find peace, faith, and hope in God's word, transforming their lives in positive ways.

How the church will sustain the cause
Our church has a sustainability plan for this cause that will not rely on long-term external donations. First, we will implement an internal donation program. We will encourage members of the congregation and the local community to regularly contribute to a specific fund for the purchase of Bibles. This will be done through special collections and awareness campaigns. Second, we will form a dedicated volunteer team. Instead of relying on paid staff, the purchasing and distribution logistics will be managed by a group of volunteers from our own church. Their time and effort will be the primary non-monetary contribution. We will also seek partnerships with Christian publishers who can offer us reduced prices or wholesale Bible donations. This will allow us to maximize every dollar raised internally. Finally, we will organize donation drives for gently used Bibles within the community. Many members have Bibles they no longer use that could be of great use to others. This will reduce the need to purchase new ones. In this way, the cause will become a self-sustaining initiative, driven by the generosity and commitment of our own faith community.
To be a model church in transforming the lives of children, youths and caregivers and have Christians who are spiritually mature in a better community.
