About the Cause
Posted by RW0235 Inkurunziza Kabare CDC in Rwanda on 09/10/2025
Once upon a time, there was an old man named Don José. He lived alone in a humble shack on the outskirts of town. His days were difficult; he often had nothing to eat, and his greatest desire was to read the Bible to find comfort and hope, but he didn't have any. This situation is that of many people in our community. Our cause seeks to address this spiritual and emotional need. Many people lack access to God's word due to poverty. Our goal is to provide Bibles to these people, giving them a source of comfort and guidance for their lives. How will we do this? We will use the funds to purchase affordable Spanish Bibles and distribute them in local churches and community centers. We will organize distribution events to ensure the Bibles reach the right hands. We hope that, with this help, people in our community will find peace, faith, and hope in God's word, transforming their lives in positive ways.

How the church will sustain the cause
We have determined that this is one of the most important needs in our community through direct observation and interaction with its members. Often, when we visit homes or community centers, we notice a lack of basic spiritual resources. Many families have shared with us that one of the things they most need is a Bible for their home. This need is not just for a book, but for the comfort and hope it represents. In addition, we have spoken with community leaders and local pastors, who have confirmed that the lack of Bibles is a recurring problem. They have told us stories of people who, in times of great difficulty, seek guidance from the Bible but do not have one. This need has become evident over our years of service in our community. The impact of the economic crisis has caused families' priorities to focus on food, shelter, and health, leaving spiritual resources aside. Therefore, we felt it was essential to address this need, as it not only provides a physical resource but also offers invaluable emotional and spiritual support in times of adversity. The Bible becomes a beacon of light in the midst of darkness. It's a resource that, once acquired, can be a source of comfort and hope for many years.
To be a model church in transforming the lives of children, youths and caregivers and have Christians who are spiritually mature in a better community.
